Jules Brassai
(1899-1984)
Born in Romania Brassai moved to Paris in 1924 where he remained throughout his life. His ability to capture a natural likeness of his subject in unusually relaxed surroundings led him to success, with an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, New York just ten years into his career.
